Head men's tennis coach Dwayne Hultquist, his associate coach Nick Crowell, and head women's coach Jennifer Hyde have led their respective teams to their highest national rankings ever and have developed some of the nation's top collegiate and junior players at FSU. They co-direct the High Performance and Summer Tennis Camps at the 14-court Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
For the High Performance camps, they working in private and small group settings with each player to assist them in their stroke production, match strategy, and mental training. Personalized video analysis for take home use of strokes and match play will be provided to each camper. Campers will also work with FSU’s Sports Psychology staff in developing mental strategies to bring their game to the next level and on a daily basis with the Strength & Conditioning staff. They will be given a take home fitness schedule that will be personalized to their needs. The program treats players like collegiate athletes, including providing them with a personal locker in the locker room an FSU T-shirt, and laundry service.
The summer camp accepts juniors ages 9-18 and focuses on creating a positive experience. The instructional program is designed to emphasize specific themes that create an exciting learning environment.
