Located 40 miles northeast of Madison, Wisconsin, and 160 miles northwest of Chicago, Beaver Dam is the site Nick Bollettieri chose for his first summer junior camp back in 1968. Bollettieri has moved on, but the Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam continues the tradition, luring an average of 55 junior camps to this prep school campus and its 11 outdoor and 4 indoor courts. It is directed by John Powless, who has himself coached hundreds of junior players at his John Powless Tennis Center in Madison.
