Rate Turning Stone Resort and Casino
Nestled in central New York's scenic
Mohawk Valley,
this 1,200-acre resort sits on land belonging
to the Oneida Indian Nation. The sprawling complex encompasses
five golf courses, a eight hard tennis courts (four of them
indoors), two spas, a fitness center, and nine restaurants
and food outlets as well as a showroom and nightclub. There
are several lodging options, ranging from an inn (a couple
of miles away) to a 19-story tower with panoramic views of
the surrounding countryside.

Brian Galle, who's from this region, played for the State University of Oneonta tennis team and taught at local clubs before becoming head professional and tennis manager at Turning Stone when the resort opened its indoor tennis complex May 2009. USPTA certified and nationally ranked in college, he has put in place a program to serve both guests and locals, with clinics for adults and high-school students supplemented by weekend mixers by ability level, a ladies' night, eight-week junior camps, and budding game-matching services.
Courts & Fees. The complex consists of 8 Decoturf courts painted U.S. Open blue, four indoor and four outdoor. These are part of a Sportsplex containing a cafe, two racquetball courts, and a 90,000-square-foot indoor golf training facility. Court fees: $20/hour for resort guests.
