Former world No. 1 Ivan Lendl spearheads this year-round academy, which launched in late summer 2011. It provides year-round training for the participants, with a focus on "classic fundamentals, leading-edge biomechanics, strength training/fitness and mental preparation." The Academy tapped former touring pro Rob Castorri to oversee program development, instruction, and operations. Participants train at the Port Royal Racquet Club and attend the nearby Heritage Academy, which offers academic instruction for those pursuing extra-curricular activities. Although being developed as a year-round training academy, the facility also offers summer, holiday, and weekend options as alternatives to full time.
