Since 1978 the Julian Krinsky School of Tennis has taken a comprehensive approach to improving young players' tennis games by focusing on fundamentals and strategy within a supportive, competitive environment. Krinsky himself is a former international tour player from South Africa who competed at Wimbledon and the French and Italian Opens. Over the past 35 years, he and his staff of certified pros have taught tens of thousands of students. In summers, the overnight tennis camps for boys and girls take place at Villanova University and Haverford College in suburban Philadephia.
Players can choose a different drill, skill, or aspect of their game to improve upon on a daily basis. And they can further refine their daily schedules by opting for such classes as Efficiency Lab, Court Sense, Spin It to Win It, or Dynamic Doubles each day.
Campers spend a minimum of 25 hours on-court each week, where they receive personalized coaching (the player-to-coach ratio is 5:1) and opportunities for competitive play in on-site USTA tournaments. In addition to tennis, students enjoy evening and weekend trips to regional destinations such as New York City and Washington, DC.
