An opulent beachfront resort on the eastern coast of Mauritius, Le Touessrok takes its architectural style from Mediterranean villages though the setting is pure tropics. The 100 rooms and suites on the mainland are supplemented by 98 brand-new suites, all facing the ocean, on Frangipani Island at the end of a wooden footbridge across a narrow channel. There also two private island accessible by water taxi: Ile aux Cerfs and the Ilot Mangénie.
The beauty of the water and the beach are major reasons guests choose to come, that and an array of watersports, including snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, and sailing. It also has four floodlit tennis courts, which guests can use at no cost 24 hours a day.
Accommodations at the hotel include guest rooms and suites. All have air conditioning, private patios, private baths and showers, mini-bars, hairdryers, satellite televisions (with both French and English programming), CD music channels, internal video system, international direct dial telephone, and electronic room safes. And the three main restaurants various serve cuisine from various parts of the world, both old and new, prepared in open kitchens. There is also a Givenchy Spa, an 18-hole Bernard Langer course, glass-bottom boats, children's programs, and other activities.
