USPTA Master Professional Joan Ramey runs live-in Spring Break and summer camps for kids but keeps enrollment small--a maximum of 12. Tennis instruction occupies more than five hours a day (though there is the option of combining tennis with horseback riding instruction). Besides tennis, kids enjoy campfires, woods trails, horses, dogs, and cats to pet provide a camp-type atmosphere.
NOTE: Before each meal, Ramey gathers the campers and leads them in prayer, noting on her website that you have the option of remaining outside until that's over.

Here's what others have had to say about Ramey Tennis School.
"My teenaged daughter attended a tennis camp for juniors at Ramey Tennis School last summer. It is not for the faint of heart! Ms. Ramey demands a lot of her campers, and because of the high expectations she set for them, they had a very rewarding week. It was refreshing to watch someone from the "old school" work so well with young teens. They are not pampered, but worked long and hard, and their tennis game will improve. My daughter also gained maturity and came home more responsible than she had been just a week prior."—R.W., Int., April 2011
"Mrs.Ramey did an awesome job with me and my friends. We learned SO much in the little time we were there. I, personally, gained so much knowledge of the game it was absolutely incredible. The lodging was very hospitable and the food was excellent. Lots of one-on-one time with instructor and learned so much. Definitely recommend Ramey Tennis School for any level and any age."—J.H., Low Int., November 2010
"This camp was a unique experience. Ms. Ramey is skilled at teaching. I improved my serve greatly, while my daughter truly learned how to play tennis for the first time."—B.L., Beg., June 2010
"Ms. Ramey was very knowledgeable and her no-nonsense, no-frills approach was just what my daughter needed!"—B.W., Adv. Int., June 2010
"This camp was an amazing camp. Everyone was very helpful and patient with all of my questions."—T.R., Beg., August 2009
