Boars Head Resort: Bringing Padel to Charlottesville

Racquet sport enthusiasts already know Boars’ Head Resort as a cornerstone of the East Coast’s tennis scene. But the Charlottesville, Virginia, resort just raised the bar yet again – this time with an investment in the emerging sport of padel. Boar’s Head Resort now boasts three brand-new padel courts. As the first “infinity extreme” design in the U.S., these courts don’t just look sharp; they’re engineered for performance and built with high-spec materials that can withstand wind speeds of up to 160 mph. Perfect for year-round play in Virginia’s dynamic weather conditions, these courts are optimized for every level of play.

The courts are nestled within the Boar’s Head Sports Club, just steps from the main tennis complex. Padel court access is simple and flexible: $32/hour for members and $45/hour for resort guests, bookable through the Boar’s Head app or at the front desk. Onsite pros and staff are ramping up play with organized events, emerging clinics, and support for first-timers who are ready to jump into the fast-paced sport.

For tennis players, padel brings something fresh yet familiar to your stay at Boar’s Head Resort. Guests can enjoy a Virginia vacation while having their choice to partake in tennis, pickleball, padel or squash right onsite at Boar’s Head.

Real Guest Reviews: Hear Directly From Players About Their Experience at Boar’s Head

🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾 “Boar’s Head was a phenomenal tennis camp experience. Brian and his team really know their stuff. They put together a 3-day camp for a group with skills from 3.0 to 4.5 that kept us moving, helped us develop tennis strategy, and strengthen our relationships. The low coach-to-player ratio made the experience top notch, and the indoor tennis facility was incredible. In addition to the beautiful courts, the post-match sauna and steam room also hit the spot. I have been to a number of different tennis camps around the East Coast and I would rank this facility and coaching staff near the top. I can’t wait to plan my next team camp at Boar’s Head. I only wish I lived closer!”

🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾 “Great tennis experience over three days in spectacular Charlottesville. Tennis instruction was excellent and geared towards doubles play. Facilities are the best around for indoor courts and use if the fitness center was a plus.”
