Located on the northern shore of New Providence Island in the Bahamas, Baha Mar fronts white sands and tranquil turquoise waters of the secluded Cable Beach.
The $4.2 billion mega-resort comprises three hotels—the 1,800-room Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, the 299-room SLS Baha Mar, and the 237-room Rosewood Baha Mar. Recreation and distractions abound, chief among them a 100,000-square-foot casino (largest in the Caribbean). Outdoors, the the amenities include an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course, an ESPA spa, a grottoed pool with waterfalls, a dozen restaurants and cafes and an equal number of bars, art galleries focused on Bahamian art, boutiques featuring luxury designers and local artisans, and some 3,000 feet of landscaped beach, the last bordered by a sanctuary with native Bahamian flora and fauna. And, yes, it has tennis as well: a handsome nine-court complex consisting of six hard, two Har-Tru, and one natural grass court and two lighted pickleball courts.
Several things set the Racquet Club at Baha Mar. There is the natural grass court, to be sure, but also appealing is the generous layout, with courts on all four sides of the well-stocked pro shop. The professional staff run a seasonally changing weekly mix of clinics as well as daily drill sessions and evening strategy, drill, and point-play clinics as well as kids’ programs and walk-on mixers.

Beach: The resort fronts 3,000-feet of landscaped beach that borders a sanctuary that lets guests interact with native aquatic life while learning about the importance of efforts to protect it.
Golf Courses: Jack Nicklaus the 18-hole Royal Blue™ TPC golf course. The layout of rolling hills and limestone outcrops takes in view of the Atlantic along the front nine before plunging into the woods on the back.
Spa: ESPA Spa at Baha Mar, the only one in the Caribbean, has 24 treatment rooms to deliver a variety of treatments based on local holistic practices and native ingredients.
Watersports abound, including stand-up paddleboards, single and double kayaks (including some with clear bottoms), zayaks (reef boards), Hobie Cat sailboats, water hammocks, floating lounges, personal floats, snorkels, fins, and masks. Not to mention up-close encounters with such aquatic life as turtles, rays, and nurse sharks at the Sanctuary.
Children's programs: The Explorer’s Club takes kids on a variety of excursions around the resort to learn about—and interact with—native fauna and learn about the Bahamian environment and culture.
Dining: It takes a lot of restaurants to feed the guests of a 2,300-room resort, which is why Baha Mar has more than a dozen and a half dining outlets. These range from casual to fine dining; beachside and poolside; early and late; American, Bahamian, Asian, Latin; seafood and barbecue. And those are supplemented by another 15 or so cocktail lounges and bars.

The Raquet Club at Baha Mar in Nassau, The Bahamas is a great place to learn and strengthen your tennis game. They run drill clinics every day and 3 times a week in the evenings. Private and Semi-private lessons are easy to arrange and the Pros customize the drills to what you want. Justyn is great and always available.My game has improved tremendously. My only criticism is that they run too many point drills and not enough just feeding the balls so that we can hit. Not everyone in the clinic is at the same level and so point games don’t involve a lot of rallies.

I spent a weekend at Grand Hyatt and was not aware that there was a tennis program on site. Having never played tennis before, I decided to take advantage of the opportunity and signed up for a 30 minute private lesson. The tennis facility at BahaMar is exceptional and picturesque. My instructor was Justyn and my lesson absolutely exceeded my expectations. Justyn is an exceptional instructor- he is friendly, patient, extremely professional, answers all of my silly questions without judgement and knows his stuff. Since it was a 30 minute lesson, I was expecting to learn maybe one or two things, however, I learned so much about the sport and Justyn has a way of effortlessly teaching you while keeping you engaged. You can tell that he loves the sport and enjoys teaching. Justyn took the time to focus on the foundations and explained the reasons for why hand and feet placement are important which helped me deepen my understanding of the sport. I surprised myself with how much I was able to accomplish (forehand, backhand and serve) during the short lesson, or maybe my instructor was just that great at explaining and demonstrating everything. At the end of the lesson, I felt like I could almost play a game. Overall, my instructor Justyn made my first experience with tennis an amazing one and I’m excited to learn more about the sport. I’ve already booked a second lesson. If you are a beginner (or even an experienced player) and want an instructor who is professional, extremely knowledgeable and patient, I highly recommend Justyn.

He picked up on something’s I was doing that hurt my game and he gave me some tips that improved my backhand immediately. The Baha Mar Racquet Club and the Baha Mar Rosewood need to be high up on the list of anyone looking for luxury accomodations and a first-rate tennis program in the Bahamas! My wife and I stayed at the Rosewood for a week in mid May and I participated in the tennis programs almost every day. There are 8 courts (5 hard, 2 har-tru and 1 grass) and very well-equipped pro shop where you can buy racquets, shoes, clothing, accessories and stringing. I met the head pro, Jon Kooy (a fellow Canadian), on my first day there and he gave a complete run down of the available programs which included daily clinics, private and demi private lessons, cardio tennis and available game matching with local club members. I particpated in the daily clinics with Jon and fellow instructors TreVaughn and Justin – all of whom did a fantastic job of creating a high energy clinic which kept us all very engaged, regardless of level. I also participated in a 60-minute private lesson with Jon and was not disappointed. Jon is an accomplished player on the ITF circuit and a very knowledgeable and engaging coach. I have participated in private lesons at other clubs with varrying results, but Jon at Baha Mar definitely helped me improve my game! I made a lot of new friends during my short stay at Baha Mar and I can’t wait to go back!

I was traveling to Baha Mar on a family vacation and saw the tennis program at the Grand Hyatt was a Cliff Drysdale Property so I knew the tennis instruction and drills would be great! I have done several Cliff Drysdale Ladies retreats and have always had the best time and had very competitive fun tennis. Baha Mar didn’t disappoint and the head Pro Jim Tressler was awesome! I am looking forward to going back soon! I hope they soon offer a ladies retreat at Baha Mar. The facilities and weather can’t be beat!

I traveled to Baha Mar with my husband on a business trip. The tennis facility was wonderful and the staff was excellent! I participated in three days of tennis drill clinics and play. We visited Baha Mar in January of 2020 and had a wonderful time. The resort is huge (2900 rooms) so be ready for crowds. The tennis center offered a daily 90 minute clinic for around $40. There were 8 guests participating on the day we went. One tip: some of the clinic folks were from other hotels, so if you are staying somewhere else, you can still play tennis here. We split up into 2 courts based on skill level, and then we got a good work out, at least on our court! The staff was great and open to suggestions about the drills we did. We also took a private lesson for 2 and had a great experience. The facility has hard courts, clay and one grass court, and they were never full, despite the crowds at the resort. The tennis was the highlight of our trip. Thanks Baha Mar!

Jeff and Minos of PBI Academy were our instructors for the tennis camp in December 2019. They are very knowledgeable, patient, and flexible. They go above and beyond the basic teaching techniques. Expect to add diversity to your forehand strokes, backhands, serves and volleys.

Facility is beautiful and staff is awesome! Karl, the director of the tennis club, is a very insightful instructor who can quickly analyze your game and provide useful tips that are easy to apply. Even though my wife and I play at different skill levels, we both found Karl’s instruction extremely beneficial when we took individual private lessons. Karl and his staff also provide useful daily clinics that focus on improving a specific aspect of your game in a fun way. They were also able to arrange for me to hit with another resort guest who’s a former collegiate player to give me some challenging match play. I played on all three court surfaces– hardcourt, clay, and grass– and found them to be in perfect shape. Overall, a top notch experience and I can highly recommend without reservation!

First off, PBI has become my standard of excellence when looking for tennis instruction. The Tennis Pros are the best I’ve encountered in the industry, exceptional professionalism, highly skilled at not only playing tennis, but more importantly teaching tennis, and they all are bright, energetic, and truly love the sport. I along with a couple of friends, participated in one of the World Camps, and we are still in awe at how amazing the whole experience was. We were warmly greeted and welcomed, introduced to all the tennis staff and many of the locals who play at Baha Mar, a world class welcome! The camp focused on all aspects of our game, from technique to strategy. Another fine quality of working with PBI trained Tennis Pros is that the instruction is consistent. How are we ever to get consistent in our own game, if our instruction isn’t? While you may get different tips and suggestions, the instruction is simple, functional, and effective. Karl, the Director of Tennis at Baha Mar really ensured we had a wonderful experience. He laid out a thoughtful schedule and was open to suggestions, not that we had many! With the help of bringing in a couple of other Pros, Jeff and one of our favorites, Chad Ruthig, who we’ve had the privilege of working with over the last couple of years, the ratio of pros to players was ideal for really enhancing our game! As for the property itself. Breathtaking. The resort is very well manicured and the staff, very friendly and inviting. From the moment we stepped foot on property until we left, the service was impeccable. Tennis was the highlight of our trip and equally, so was dining! There are so many restaurants to choose from! From casual bites to fine dining, they were all incredible. Every single meal we had was in itself an experience! The spa & fitness facility is one of the best I’ve ever seen! One of my criteria when looking at places to stay is, there has to be a nice gym. The gym at Baha Mar is comparable to a high end gym, like an Equinox. I can’t say enough positive things about this resort or about PBI and the Tennis Program here. I’ve already marked my calendar for next year’s camp! I hope to get there again sooner, till then, I’ll be back next December!

All aspects of my game were worked on & improved at the camp. My serve was made stronger & more strategic. My Doubles & Singles game will benefit from what I learned about placement, depth, aim, spin & power. I learned how to compete more efficiently & smarter. Our group had a blast & worked hard. We worked together in groups & individually. I was always challenged & in the right level of play, meeting a nice group of avid tennis players. The Pros were top notch. At the end of camp we had the opportunity to use everything we learned in a fun Play With The Pro Tournament. It was the perfect mix of match play, drills, lessons. My wife and I just returned from Baha Mar in the Bahamas last week. The rooms were extraordinary (new and modern), the beach was beautiful, and the restaurants were fantastic, but for me, the most notable highlight was the tennis facility and my tennis lessons with the Head Pro, Karl Vukobrat. They have 6 hard courts, 3 clay courts and 1 grass court, all in perfect condition. The Pro Shop had an arsenal of pro-level racquets to rent for $10. It was very easy to schedule lessons with Karl. I thought I was only going have a couple lessons, but due to the level of instruction, I ended up taking 5 lessons in 5 days. If you simply want someone to feed you balls and run you around, you can have that. But if you really want to raise your game, this is the right place! Karl is the best instructor I have ever had. He deconstructs all elements, notes all the positives and negatives, and brilliantly articulates his instructions with an encouraging tone. I asked him to be hard and honest with me and he did so. He reminded me of how important it is to return to the fundamentals when your game is a little off. He seemed to have a clever analogy for everything, which I always feel is helpful when learning. I eavesdropped on a couple of his other lessons, and he really knows how to connect with his student, whether they are an adult or child. After I returned home, he kindly sent me an email with the bullet points from our lessons to keep the instruction fresh in my head over the next several months. The tennis program at Baha Mar is one the biggest reasons why my wife and I are certain to return. If you want tennis to be a part of your vacation, Baha Mar is an ideal place to go.

An incredible team is at the Baha Mar. We spent a weekend with lots of tennis friends and they ran an amazing round robin both days! So much fun and all the staff was there to make sure all was running well. The courts are in great shape as well as the grass court. We will definitely go back there again. This facility is new with all court surfaces available; hard court, HarTru and grass, a total of 9 courts. It’s a small facility 5 minute walk from the BahaMar hotel complexes, which is huge and on the beach. The staff is friendly and skilled. When it’s windy, the 2 HarTru courts are very windy. Otherwise the complex is beautiful and all the courts are in superb condition. I’d go again in a heartbeat.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this resort and tennis complex. It was exceptional – a high quality tennis facility in a spectacular setting in the Bahamas. The tennis instructor helped improve my game both technically and tactically. I learned more in the few days I was at the Baha Mar than I have in the past year of private lessons, which is significant, and shows how well the instruction was structured and delivered. The staff we very pleasant and helpful – the facility is gorgeous. I can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend it. I did not stay at the hotel on this occasion, so my rankings relate only to the tennis facility. The resort was lovely and I will definitely stay there next time.

I particpated in the daily clinics with Jon and fellow instructors TreVaughn and Justin – all of whom did a fantastic job of creating a high energy clinic which kept us all very engaged, regardless of level. I also participated in a 60-minute private lesson with Jon and was not disappointed. Jon is an accomplished player on the ITF circuit and a very knowledgeable and engaging coach. I have participated in private lesons at other clubs with varrying results, but Jon at Baha Mar definitely helped me improve my game! I made a lot of new friends during my short stay at Baha Mar and I can’t wait to go back!

I was traveling to Baha Mar on a family vacation and saw the tennis program at the Grand Hyatt was a Cliff Drysdale Property so I knew the tennis instruction and drills would be great! I have done several Cliff Drysdale Ladies retreats and have always had the best time and had very competitive fun tennis. Baha Mar didn’t disappoint and the head Pro Jim Tressler was awesome! I am looking forward to going back soon! I hope they soon offer a ladies retreat at Baha Mar. The facilities and weather can’t be beat!

I traveled to Baha Mar with my husband on a business trip. The tennis facility was wonderful and the staff was excellent! I participated in three days of tennis drill clinics and play. The pros were awesome and went beyond just running drills but gave instruction tailored to my needs and questions. My mornings of tennis were the highlight of my trip!
We visited Baha Mar in January of 2020 and had a wonderful time. The resort is huge (2900 rooms) so be ready for crowds. The tennis center offered a daily 90 minute clinic for around $40. There were 8 guests participating on the day we went. One tip: some of the clinic folks were from other hotels, so if you are staying somewhere else, you can still play tennis here. We split up into 2 courts based on skill level, and then we got a good work out, at least on our court! The staff was great and open to suggestions about the drills we did. We also took a private lesson for 2 and had a great experience. The facility has hard courts, clay and one grass court, and they were never full, despite the crowds at the resort. The tennis was the highlight of our trip. Thanks Baha Mar!
Jeff and Minos of PBI Academy were our instructors for the tennis camp in December 2019. They are very knowledgeable, patient, and flexible. They go above and beyond the basic teaching techniques. Expect to add diversity to your forehand strokes, backhands, serves and volleys.
The tennis center is amazing! We have had a good experience. The pros are good but the director is AMAZING! Very good tennis player, good coach for us and for the kids, kind and very professional! It was the best part of our experience in Bahamar. If there was no tennis, we wouldn’t come back!

Minos and staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the daily clinic and thought the entire tennis facility & courts were spectacular.
The tennis clinics at BahaMar were terrific!! The instruction was excellent and the drills were valuable and fun. The beautiful tennis courts are a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I would go back!
PBI coaches are wonderful. The clinics by both pros were the best. Hard work and so much fun! Wish I could stay for the month. Terrific with working with all different levels.

Went in April to Baha Mar resort and stayed at Grand Hyatt. Great hotel! Many pools and a fantastic tennis club. Had a couple of lessons with Director Minos, a Greek-Dutch coach and my game really went to an other level! Very professional coaching and a super service! Totally worth the lessons! Will be back for sure!
Had two lessons with Coach Minos and honestly learnt more than a week’s course at some tennis academies. He also went above and beyond to help my kids’ game and came over long after his scheduled time at the club had finished to help their serves. Will definitely be back as the quality of the facilities is first class and the coaching excellent. Thank you!!!
It is an amazing resort, with tennis courts taken care in a way close to perfection. Teachers are the best I ver met and the way they teach, their methodology ad attitude make you a better player, independently of your level of game
The staff at Baha Mar tennis was very friendly and provided 5-star service. Courts immaculate in a scenic setting. Tennis shop inventory more than adequate. A truly fun experience all around!
Facility is beautiful and staff is awesome! Karl, the director of the tennis club, is a very insightful instructor who can quickly analyze your game and provide useful tips that are easy to apply. Even though my wife and I play at different skill levels, we both found Karl’s instruction extremely beneficial when we took individual private lessons. Karl and his staff also provide useful daily clinics that focus on improving a specific aspect of your game in a fun way. They were also able to arrange for me to hit with another resort guest who’s a former collegiate player to give me some challenging match play. I played on all three court surfaces– hardcourt, clay, and grass– and found them to be in perfect shape. Overall, a top notch experience and I can highly recommend without reservation!
I have wanted to visit Baha Mar for some time. After learning that PBI https://www.pbitennis.com/worldwide-destinations leads the tennis program at Baha Mar, I couldn’t plan a trip there fast enough. First off, PBI has become my standard of excellence when looking for tennis instruction. The Tennis Pros are the best I’ve encountered in the industry, exceptional professionalism, highly skilled at not only playing tennis, but more importantly teaching tennis, and they all are bright, energetic, and truly love the sport. I along with a couple of friends, participated in one of the World Camps, and we are still in awe at how amazing the whole experience was. We were warmly greeted and welcomed, introduced to all the tennis staff and many of the locals who play at Baha Mar, a world class welcome! The camp focused on all aspects of our game, from technique to strategy. Another fine quality of working with PBI trained Tennis Pros is that the instruction is consistent. How are we ever to get consistent in our own game, if our instruction isn’t? While you may get different tips and suggestions, the instruction is simple, functional, and effective. Karl, the Director of Tennis at Baha Mar really ensured we had a wonderful experience. He laid out a thoughtful schedule and was open to suggestions, not that we had many! With the help of bringing in a couple of other Pros, Jeff and one of our favorites, Chad Ruthig, who we’ve had the privilege of working with over the last couple of years, the ratio of pros to players was ideal for really enhancing our game! As for the property itself. Breathtaking. The resort is very well manicured and the staff, very friendly and inviting. From the moment we stepped foot on property until we left, the service was impeccable. Tennis was the highlight of our trip and equally, so was dining! There are so many restaurants to choose from! From casual bites to fine dining, they were all incredible. Every single meal we had was in itself an experience! The spa & fitness facility is one of the best I’ve ever seen! One of my criteria when looking at places to stay is, there has to be a nice gym. The gym at Baha Mar is comparable to a high end gym, like an Equinox. I can’t say enough positive things about this resort or about PBI and the Tennis Program here. I’ve already marked my calendar for next year’s camp! I hope to get there again sooner, till then, I’ll be back next December!
I can’t wait to go back to Baha Mar & PBI World Camp! The Tennis Pro staff is phenomenal. They are all talented, fun, encouraging, & high energy! All aspects of my game were worked on & improved at the camp. My serve was made stronger & more strategic. My Doubles & Singles game will benefit from what I learned about placement, depth, aim, spin & power. I learned how to compete more efficiently & smarter. Our group had a blast & worked hard. We worked together in groups & individually. I was always challenged & in the right level of play, meeting a nice group of avid tennis players. The Pros were top notch. At the end of camp we had the opportunity to use everything we learned in a fun Play With The Pro Tournament. It was the perfect mix of match play, drills, lessons. The resort is stunning & the opportunity to play on all surfaces: grass, clay & hardcourt, is a dream come true. Wonderful vacation for families as there is so much to do at the resort including visiting flamingos, sea turtles, beautiful pools, beaches, & top restaurants. I will definitely be coming back to Baha Mar for tennis. This is my second PBI World Camp, hopefully many more in my future.

I had an excellent learning experience with instructors Karl and Devlin. Karl noticed that I was not using my wrist fully on my serves, which made an immediate difference and was something other instructors had not seen. The courts are beautiful and the resort is first-class.
I just returned from a visit to the Rosewood Baha Mar. I played three consecutive days with Karl and Devlin. I’m a frequent visitor to tennis resorts across the country and internationally. I can’t say enough nice things about my experience at the Rosewood Baha Mar. Karl is running a great show. Every aspect was highly organized, instructive and maintained an outstanding emphasis on the customer experience. I have always had outstanding experiences at PBI run tennis programs and this was no exception. So, to Karl and his crew – take a bow for a job well done!
Karl and his crew have done an incredible job developing this new facility. The har-tru and concrete courts are impeccable and the one grass court is always good ta say that I have finally played on Grass. The staff is very friendly, attentive and experienced. They know how to show an individual or group many ways to improve their games while enjoying the experience. What are great new addition to the tennis scene in Nassau.
The tennis at BahaMar was amazing. Coaches top notch. excellent instruction. Really improved my game in the days i was there. Courts well maintained. Pristine really. The best I have been to in the past 5 years.
I played at the tennis center over vacation, in December/January, I did the 90 minute drills for nine of the fourteen days I was on the island, the sessions were well organized, kept the group moving and when the groups were especially small, gave the individuals the opportunity to choose what to do. Karl and Devlin were great and tailored the drill,sessioms so well as it relat d to the group
Karl and the resort is wonderful. Proposed to my lovely fiance on the grass courts, it was magical. Btw the clay courts are absolutely so fun and these facilities are top of the line.
The tennis courts are brand new and really well maintained. The tennis campus is beautiful; the greenery really makes the club pretty. Great tennis professionals s who will try to set up matches for you. Daily clinic which is fun. The resort as a whole is brand new and is beautiful. Amenities are amazing and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. I would go back for sure.
My wife and I just returned from Baha Mar in the Bahamas last week. The rooms were extraordinary (new and modern), the beach was beautiful, and the restaurants were fantastic, but for me, the most notable highlight was the tennis facility and my tennis lessons with the Head Pro, Karl Vukobrat. They have 6 hard courts, 3 clay courts and 1 grass court, all in perfect condition. The Pro Shop had an arsenal of pro-level racquets to rent for $10. It was very easy to schedule lessons with Karl. I thought I was only going have a couple lessons, but due to the level of instruction, I ended up taking 5 lessons in 5 days. If you simply want someone to feed you balls and run you around, you can have that. But if you really want to raise your game, this is the right place! Karl is the best instructor I have ever had. He deconstructs all elements, notes all the positives and negatives, and brilliantly articulates his instructions with an encouraging tone. I asked him to be hard and honest with me and he did so. He reminded me of how important it is to return to the fundamentals when your game is a little off. He seemed to have a clever analogy for everything, which I always feel is helpful when learning. I eavesdropped on a couple of his other lessons, and he really knows how to connect with his student, whether they are an adult or child. After I returned home, he kindly sent me an email with the bullet points from our lessons to keep the instruction fresh in my head over the next several months. The tennis program at Baha Mar is one the biggest reasons why my wife and I are certain to return. If you want tennis to be a part of your vacation, Baha Mar is an ideal place to go.
An incredible team is at the Baha Mar. We spent a weekend with lots of tennis friends and they ran an amazing round robin both days! So much fun and all the staff was there to make sure all was running well. The courts are in great shape as well as the grass court. We will definitely go back there again. Only 10 minutes from Nassau Airport.
We all had a wonderful experience at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, Nassau, Bahamas. Karl and Alex were super tennis hosts along with our own, Fabio Vasconcellos, from our Florida location at Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club. The two 3 hour + tennis events were well-organized and a lot of fun to be part of during our trip to this resort.
This facility is new with all court surfaces available; hard court, HarTru and grass, a total of 9 courts. It’s a small facility 5 minute walk from the BahaMar hotel complexes, which is huge and on the beach. The staff is friendly and skilled. When it’s windy, the 2 HarTru courts are very windy. Otherwise the complex is beautiful and all the courts are in superb condition. I’d go again in a heartbeat.
I could not have asked for a better place for my Tennis vacation. Karl the director was great!!! It was my first time playing on a grass court, everything was well maintained.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this resort and tennis complex. It was exceptional – a high quality tennis facility in a spectacular setting in the Bahamas. The tennis instructor helped improve my game both technically and tactically. I learned more in the few days I was at the Baha Mar than I have in the past year of private lessons, which is significant, and shows how well the instruction was structured and delivered. The staff we very pleasant and helpful – the facility is gorgeous. I can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend it. I did not stay at the hotel on this occasion, so my rankings relate only to the tennis facility. The resort was lovely and I will definitely stay there next time.
This is a premier tennis destination. The staff are engaging and are great teachers. I look forward to returning.
