The Mouratoglou Tennis Center Jumeirah extends the reach of renowned coach Patrick Mouratoglou’s empire from his original Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in Nice, France, to the upscale hotels of Jumeirah and Madinat in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Like his French outpost, this one attracts professional tennis players, who use it as a training base between tournaments. But complemented as it is by lavish hotels and their amenities, the Mouratoglou Tennis Center Jumeirah also affords tennis-playing guests access to programs based on the Mouratoglou methodology and taught by his credentialed staff.
Peter Wessels, a Dutch-born former top ATP Top 100 player anchors a staff of nine, all of them Mouratoglou-certified coaches. Much of the focus is on private and semi-private instruction, though those suppplemented by advanced and intermediate clinics—and by “advanced” they mean tournament and national players—cardio tennis sessions, ladies’ clinics, junior programs, and customized sessions. These take place on the seven hard courts adjaced to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel or the four hard courts at Jumeirah Madinat.
