50 Years of Match Moments on Kiawah Island

Unforgettable tennis experiences for women await along ten miles of striking South Carolina coastline at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. Mild year-round temps, breathtaking natural beauty, and world-class amenities create the perfect setting to elevate your game—and enjoy an island getaway. Gather your friends, teammates, or tennis partner for a weekend designed to inspire. The resort handles all the details for an exciting time both on and off the court.

An Experience to Rally For

Led by dedicated tennis pros in the fall and winter, Women’s Tennis Weekends offer thoughtful technical evaluations and more than seven hours of expert instruction. Guests enjoy a dynamic mix of live play, action-packed drills, and conditioning—all carefully curated to challenge and refine players at every level.

Ideal for couples or small groups of four per court, each session is led by a personal instructor to ensure focused attention and an engaging, social atmosphere. The experience includes a round-robin format, daily snacks served courtside, and ample time to relax and connect with fellow tennis enthusiasts. All of which is set against Kiawah Island’s stunning coastal landscape.

Set for Excellence

Instruction is held at the Roy Barth Tennis Center, renowned for its five-decade legacy of acclaimed facilities and exceptional coaching. The Tennis Clubhouse was updated last fall with a variety of thoughtful additions. A modern pro shop offers the latest racquet-sport gear and apparel, while the Courtside Café invites guests to recharge before or after a match.

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is home to 22 tennis courts in total, all tucked into lush Lowcountry surroundings bordered by fragrant oleander, rustling palmettos, swaying pampas grass, and vibrant flowers. In addition to tennis, the property offers pickleball programs and two new padel courts ready for your next game.

Beyond the Court

Additional recreational activities at Kiawah Island Golf Resort include golf on five championship courses, including The Ocean Course, 30 miles of paved biking paths, and guided nature tours. Here, wide-ranging watersports such as paddleboarding and kayaking are always in season.

The Treehouse Activity Center at Night Heron Park is the latest chapter in Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s long list of offerings. Eight full-size bowling lanes welcome up to six guests each. On two state-of-the-art golf simulators, players can also take on the property’s own awe-inspiring layouts, such as The Ocean Course, or tee off on their choice of famed courses from around the globe.

After a day spent rallying, the arcade at The Treehouse is a place to enjoy everything from Skee-ball and shooting hoops to shuffleboard, air hockey, and Mario Kart. Treehouse guests can also enjoy a drink and bite to eat at The Perch—a new casual pub hangout.

Those seeking serenity after a day on the courts need not look any further than The Spa at The Sanctuary. At this award-winning paradise, trickling fountains and essential oils soothe the senses, while elevated treatments from detoxifying massages to holistic facials leave mind, body, and spirit refreshed.

Players can enjoy their choice of menus at the 16 restaurants, cafés, clubhouses and eateries that span the island. The Kiawah Dining Collection serves culinary excellence daily, with favorites including a top-tier steakhouse, fresh-caught seafood delicacies, authentic Italian dishes, and specialty Magic Milkshakes crowned with decadent toppings and made with local Wholly Cow ice cream.
