Offered only over a single week in July, these adult camps take place at the scenic campus of the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Housing is available in the University’s dormitory suites, which consist of two or three bedrooms and a bath in a building with a recreation room and a swimming pool. They are within walking distance of the 26 hard courts, the gymnasium, and the fitness center. The camp runs 6 hours/day.
The camp is run by the four members of the Brady family, all of whom played college tennis—and in the case of Kip held a national professional ranking.
The camp was well run with a very supportive environment for all levels. It was fun, informative, and gave lots of opportunities to work on various elements of the game. Some instructors were college kids and they were fantastic! Would highly recommend. I only did one day and was worn out but will be back next year for several days
KM
Well organized and fun camp! Overall great experience and I took many things out of it to work on at home! Thanks to all the coaches especially Virgil!
ML
A fun and well-run program. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. It is a lot of tennis so if that is what you are looking for this is the camp for you!
PC
An outstanding experience. Knowledgeable and delightful instructors. Focus on fundamentals specific to each camper. Positive spirit. Entertaining a fun training games. Lovely setting. I would recommend it highly to tennis players at any level.
GC
Loved the staff! Kip and Kevin are wonderful, and their support coaches are knowledgeable and positive. The drills were great; definitely not a lot of waiting around. A really good balance of drills and match play.
MS
The camp was well organized. Ration of instructors to participants was excellent at 1:6. Lots of playing time. Lots of doubles strategy talk which is what I really needed. I look forward to attending more in the future.
JF
Excellent camp — well organized, lots of competitive play, small groups sorted by skill level, lots of coaches to focus on specific skill areas. And the UCSB facilities are excellent.
MR
The Brady Tennis Camp exceeded my expectations! Outstanding instruction from the entire Brady Team on every level. It was fun, informative and I came home with some new skills. I can’t wait to return next year. I couldn’t ask for a better camp experience. July 23’ Michèle Ramsey

Brady runs a good camp. To ensure you get some levels of instruction you need to ask each of the different coaches for feedback during their session ,upfront.
MI
Instructors provide group and individual instructions to elevate your game by improving your fundemental stroke patterns. Games reinforce these improvements. Pick a court allows you to focus on areas you want to improve. This was about my 18th time to attend this camp. I always pick up tips as I also have improved. I also like the strategy lessons to help you win more games too. High energy and focused sessions will improve your game, while having fun too. The other instructors always bring a different lesson and drills for a more rounded lesson between instructors and students. I plan on going again next year too.
CW
Tennis staff and program are excellent. I am a repeat customer. You should find your own lodging if you’re not accustomed to student dorm option. The UCSB dorm environment can be shocking.
LH
We had a wonderful experience at camp, we traveled from Phoenix with 8 woman from our tennis team. We learned alot and got to play in beautiful weather with great coaches. We will definately be back!!
KW
Great camp. Lots of good takeaways. Loved the instructors. Kip was awesome as were Allan and Kevin. I remember every tip Virgil gave me. He was right to the point. Drills were so helpful and detailed. We liked the variety of clinics, plus the coaches worked with us one-on-one on our weaknesses. Pick a court (choose a court based on your needs) was excellent. We really got individual attention in these sessions. Kip was especially attentive. I would have liked more time with these and the morning sessions. The doubles play and tournaments didn’t interest me. I was there to refine my skills. I’d highly recommend this camp. We will be back – again and again.
TJ
I loved Brady Tennis Camp! Lots of skill levels and spot-on instruction. Great vibes and lovely people. I will definitely go to another Brady Camp.
DJ
the brady camp is my favorite weekend tennis experience. I look forward to attending just about every year.
JM
Brady camps are run by the Brady family. They all make an effort to get to know campers by name and make them feel welcome. The coaching staff is mostly Brady family members with a few others in the mix. The level of coaching is outstanding and they are all very personable and fun to be around. I would guess the skill levels of the campers ranged from 3.0 to 4.5. Of course any camp has its problems. At the July Santa Barbara camp, the tennis courts were locked one day until one of the coaches scaled a fence and opened the gate for us. It was only a minor inconvenience. The clinics are quite physically demanding without much downtime. Some people may have trouble keeping up.
LJ
Very good energy and lots to learn no matter your level
SN
Well organized, fun, helpful & varied instruction, fast paced 3 generations of family running Brady camps= All Delightlful! Nice to have the package deal w/ Paribas Tennis tickets after clinics. I’d go again!!
AG
What a great camp coinciding with the Indian Wells tournament. Great to learn new skills and hang out together to watch matches in the afternoon!
PK
Great tennis camp! 3 solid hours of drills and game play, with good feedback from the coaches on strokes and strategy. The groups were full of good players, many with league/tournament experience. I look forward to going again! Highly recommended!
HH
This was my first tennis camp. I learned so much and had fun while doing it.
MM
This was the best tennis camp I’ve ever attended. Kevin and Kip Brady are the best and very friendly. The camp started every day on time with a few stretches, then coaches playing to point out doubles strategies, then they grouped us. Every hour we rotated to a different court and worked on different aspects of the game: volleys, overheads, ground strokes, serves, and then some point play. Many of the tips and pointers I had never heard before. The group rate at our resort was fantastic and we enjoyed that time as well. It was a very short drive to the camp courts and the Indian Wells Tournament. One of the favorites to win the tournament was staying at our hotel-so that was fun to see her. All in all it was the best camp, resort vacation, and tournament combo I’ve experienced. Thank you Bradys! (FYI-I attended March 2023 but the survey button below doesn’t give me that option.)
SD
Highly enjoyed the clinic. Exceptional Instructional in a competitive environment.
AS
Liked the stations with different skills being focused on. Games at the end of camp first day weren’t that fun – would have preferred to continue skills. Also both days sort of slow start by campers warming up themselves for 15 minutes and then “stretching” together after that. Would prefer to get into instructional time faster. Also awards during last 15 mins of camp each day seemed like not a very good use of time – sort of silly. Day two less good skills stations. Also one young instructor seemed confused by being told to run a drill that required six campers while our group had five campers. Instead of improvising seamlessly she seemed confused which led to the women in our group trying to take charge just so we didn’t all stand around waiting for the instructor to figure out what to do. Suggest that young instructors need to be more prepared to take charge and stay in control. Visited in 2023.

This was the 3rd Brady Camp I’ve attended! Great instructors very organized! Can’t wait for the next one!

My family and I have been participating in Brady Tennis Camps since 2008. We absolutely love the Brady family, they are not only amazing tennis instructors, but great people with high values. Before attending Brady tennis camps, we were sporadic with our tennis. After we started attending and working with the Bradys on our form and endurance, we became super energized to get better and better. Now we set goals and only practice what we learn at the camps. Our tennis has improved tremendously, we even made it to the USTA sectionals for mixed doubles! Now, we only attend Brady tennis camps, we don’t waste our money on any other instruction. We can’t wait for the camp at La Costa this October, that one is THE BEST!
JA
The Brady Tennis Camp was just excellent; wonderful instructors, great people and I learned a ton. First time attending one but definitely not the last time! Would highly recommend for anyone who loves tennis.
BH
This was my second Brady Tennis Camp, and it was awesome! I had a blast and learned a ton from the instructors. They kept things moving quite well with the schedule, and we were able to play a lot of competitive tennis. I was tired, but I really enjoyed every minute of it. Will be returning again in the next year, and recommending it to my tennis friends.
GB
The Brady tennis camp provided a great combination of instruction from very skilled instructors, along with a fun social atmosphere. There are players of all levels that signed up for the camp. I spent a good amount of time with others at my skill level doing a variety of drills and short competitions. At other times the entire group of attendees would get together for additional games. This kept things fun while I had a chance to work on many aspects of my game. I think the main strengths of the weekend camp I attended are: – good drills targeting different aspects/shots of the game – skilled and friendly instructors – good social atmosphere – nice location/courts The only suggestion for improvement I have is that I would like it if they split the groups per skill level a little longer and get into some more competitive based drills within these specific groups. The more social, all group games at the end are still very fun though and should not be eliminated from the schedule. I highly recommend the Brady Tennis weekend camp that I attended!
DE
First time to Brady Camp and it was great. Pros were friendly and very knowledgeable. I hope to do it again and bring additional friends.
LA
I have told my friends that this camp is very grueling and a go-hard work out, and lots of fun if you are in shape. The food is not fantastic but you’re so hungry after the workouts that you gobble it up. You can be roomed with a stranger, so if you are shy it would not work for you. I am not shy and it was great to have a roommate to become friends with. The instructors are awesome, the Brady family. Some of their up-and-coming younger assistants need more experience but they will become awesome in the future With the Bradys guiding them.
SN
Brady Tennis Camps are so much fun. You get high quality instruction for not a lot of money compared to other camps I’ve researched. The social atmosphere is great too. If you travel by yourself it is easy to make some new friends and have people to hang out with during the week/weekend. The camp venue that I went to (UCSB) is also wonderful. It is a beautiful location with great weather and you really feel like you are having a great tennis vacation. I can’t recommend this camp highly enough.
RJ
All those attending were quite friendly and helpful. It didn’t matter where you ended up each day. Almost all the staff, including coaches, were knowledgeable and adapted their instruction to a person’s skills or lack thereof. A most enjoyable atmosphere!
NR
Excellent camp! Great instructors! Dedicated instructors who provided wonderful feedback and tips. Instruction given during drills and during match play to help you improve.
AV
I attended the Adult Tennis Camp run by the Brady family. Instruction was okay for a fairly large group and individual feedback was limited. I might have enjoyed the camp more if it were not for the lodging at the Tropicana Gardens. You get what you pay for and it was your typical dorm setting. There was a concurrent kids tennis camp being run and they unfortunately were staying at the same lodging. As far as I can tell, there was absolutely no supervision of these kid of various ages as they ran and screamed from approximately 5pm till “quite time” which was around 10pm. It was truly an awful experience. After spending an entire day on the courts, you couldn’t even relax due to the excessive screaming. All the children seems to be housed on the second floor with the adult campers on the ground floor. It was a nightmare. So much so, I would never attend this camp again nor as a parent would I feel comfortable sending a kid to stay at this camp.
MS
Excellent camp experience! A friend and I participated in the camp, we are men’s 4 to 4.5 level players and we had a wonderful experience. Kip and Kevin do a great job, they make it fun and everybody learns something new. You’ll get a good aerobic workout with many of the drills, you get a chance to hit some tennis balls prior to going to the BNP tournament.
GL
I attended the Brady Camp during the Indian Wells BNP tournament. The tennis camp runs from 8 am to 11am, and is fantastic! Great instruction and flexibility as well. When camp concludes, its off to watch the best tennis players in the world. What a great combination!
JP
Beautiful resort with a great tennis facility. The Brady family runs an extremely fun, challenging and organized weekend with opportunity for tennis players of all levels to improve, be challenged and have fun. We had an absolute blast!
JP
This was our first Brady Tennis Camp, and it won’t be our last. Judging from the number of repeat campers, we knew right away that this must be a good camp. We were right about that. The first morning began with skill fundamental sessions, targeted at each level of player, and progressed through match-play scenarios and fun tennis games over the weekend. We left the camp dog-tired but feeling like we were better players with the info we needed to keep moving ahead.
AB
Brady Tennis Camp is extraordinary! My teammates and I not only had the best time making memories on the court, but we learned tennis strategies and skills. We made new friends, and enjoyed touring beautiful Santa Barbara. It was a delightful week of pure fun. The Brady family is not only professional, but customer service is their speciality. As well, they made sure all campers had a great time and everyone of all skill levels had a variety of experiences on the court. With out a doubt, anyone who loves tennis should attend this camp. By far, it is the best tennis camp and I would recommend it to anyone over Nike adult camp in a heart beat. I have been more than once to this camp and highly recommend the hotel over the dorms. The price of the camp which inculudes this lodgingis an incredible deal and very nice. Best expericence of tennis camp I have ever had and all thanks to the Bradys.

If you want great value for your investment Brady Tennis Camp is it! Run by the Brady family the camp at University of California in Santa Barbara was well organized everyday – lots of instruction, drills and match play. It was different from other camps as it was not at a resort. I stayed at a near by hotel Pacifica Suites – in Goleta which was just 5 minutes away. It was a great week of eat, sleep, tennis and met some great people. I will retutn with some of our team members!
KC
My first year attending and had a great time. Great instruction in the morning and then fun match play after lunch. I learned so much and had the opportunity to put my new skills to work in the afternoon. Lots of individual attention even with a group setting. I will definitely attend again. My daughter and husband have attended three years now and love it as well. Great family experience by a great family! Love that my junior can attend camp at the same time!
