Located near Lake Chelan in central Washington, Harmony Meadows Tennis Resort marries—no pun intended—a wedding venue with a tennis club. The boutique resort sits on 12½ acres against a scenic backdrop of mountains and vineyards, its 13 rooms variously tucked into an inn, hayloft, and cottages. A swath of tennis courts, 8 in all, stretch out along one side, bordered by lawns and vineyards on the right and apple orchards on the left. Two pickleball courts add to the mix.
It is exceedingly rare to have a court:room ratio that large, and the devotion to tennis is further reflected in the professional tennis staff. To insure a high-quality experience, the resort hired Tom Fey as tennis director. He is a 45-year veteran of the industry who had most recently run the programs at Indian Wells Tennis Garden, the site of the annual BNP Paribas tournament. He’s joined by Tom Edsall, who ran adult and junior programs at his academy in North Carolina. The roster they’ve put together includes clinics and private lessons, as you might expect, but also focuses on staging tennis camps, both midweek and weekend, with or without lodging.
I haven’t yet had a chance to visit, but it bodes well that the owners, tech entrepreneurs Jacquelyn and Jeremy Jaech, are passionate about tennis having taken it up late in life. They had often vacationed at Lake Chelan, where they have a second home, drawn by the 50-mile-long lake, 350 days of sunshine, and some 40 wineries. Looking for a project that could incorporate their love to tennis, they found a disused property and within a year had turned it into a haven for tennis players. They’ve taken a hands-on approach to managing the resort, making it as personal as it is intimate. The beauty and tranquility of the setting makes it an ideal wedding venue, and the Jaechs are equally accommodating to family gatherings, corporate events, and, of course, tennis groups. No marriage plans required.
Court Complex: There are eight Laykold courts, with two more planned for indoors, and two pickleball courts.
Whether you are on vacation or reside within the Lake Chelan valley, a pro or a beginner, there is a racquet program to suit your needs. Harmony Meadows hosts tournaments, adult camps, junior camps, and provides instruction for individuals and groups.
Court Fees: $20/person/day for guests, with 90 minutes guaranteed, and additional time the same day, if available, at no cost

This world-class, destination tennis facility is nestled within the Chelan Valley amongst apple orchards and the eastern slopes of the Cascade mountains. Harmony Meadows is both escape and discovery. Escape during one of Chelan’s distinct four seasons to enjoy any type of event: from a weekend getaway to a special occasion to a corporate or family reunion.
Dining: Love All Café at the resort has a limited but health-oriented menu of coffee, smoothies, salads, sandwiches, gelato, wines, and beer. Heartier fare can be found in nearby Manson and neighboring towns.
Accommodations
Harmony Meadows offers unique accommodations for up to 50 guests near Lake Chelan. Their rooms range in size from 308 square feet to 535 square feet in the Inn. The Hayloft measures 1000 square feet with three sleeping bays and a pull-out sofa. Their Cottage double-queen rooms and king rooms are 375 square feet, and their premier king rooms are 380 square feet.
Getting there
Seasons: The season is currently April to October for tennis; however, once the two indoor courts have been built, the tennis season will last year-round.
Travel Instructions: The closest major airport is Pangborn Memorial Airport/Fly Wenatchee (EAT)” in Wenatchee, just over an hour’s drive to the south.

It’s an amazing resort that is family friendly and offers activities such as lawn games and pickle ball as well, it’s great for kids and also non tennis players. The accommodations which include cottages , inns and suites are gorgeous ,elegant and classy. It’s a perfect place for special occasions, romantic getaways and girls trips . Harmony Meadows has done a free after-school tennis clinic for the kids and it has been an outstanding program for our kids. This is the 2nd year they have done it and it has taught kids the basics of tennis and is developing a love for tennis in the kids. The coaches are amazing and high energy!
