I didn’t stay at the resort but wanted to play tennis while in Acapulco. Had my hotel book hour lesson at the Princess. Taxi to hotel then short walk to tennis complex. Armed federal police protecting. We then waited for the pro who arrived with 3 ball girls and the Bookeeper! Played on the newly surfaced hard courts. Very nice. Also nice not to have fetch balls. I was given free water bottle and towel. Pro was avg 3.5 level. We played a set I beat him easily. After match I was sweating quite a bit and had brought change of clothes. But I was told that locker rooms were closed – no option for shower. So we snuck onto beach property and I rinsed off at beach shower just changing shirt and shoes. Cost was $500 pesos for the lesson (about $30 us) Pro told me very few players at hotel these days. All in all I enjoyed my lesson at the Mexico open grounds, but they need to fix shower issue. Also bring your own balls, theirs were very old and bald .
