Set on 144 acres, this 365-room luxury hotel begins along Seven Mile Beach and extends completely across the island to North Sound. To this region renowned for its scuba diving, the Ritz-Carlton brings a host of upscale amenities, including three red clay and two hard courts staffed by pros with international experience.
The pursuit of designer facilities extends to the rest of the facilities as well, with a Greg Norman-designed “Blue tip” 9-hole golf course, the Caribbean’s first La Prairie Spa, a Ritz Kids program under Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment, and two restaurants by Eric Ripert of New York City’s Le Bernardin.
The tennis staff offers private lessons, game matching, Cardio tennis, summer youth camps (customized activities for kids 4-18 ranging from golf to tennis to water sports to eco-excursions with Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau), and tailor-made clinics for groups.

6 Reviews on “The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman”
I have been to many rated tennis resorts including Wild Dunes, Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne and Four Seasons Nevis so I have an excellent idea of the experiences available. I also know the Rosemary Beach tennis center very well, I have not experienced any tennis resort with the dedication to the tennis player experience as Half Moon offered. My comments of the great experience offered began when greeted in the tennis complex and applied to everyone encountered in the tennis facility staff. My highest complete go to the instructor I worked with in clinics and the one on one – Dean Stephens. This was not a feel good approach to a clinic but an honest desire to improve my game / swing. Dean was soft spoken and very patient with me – way beyond other instructors at my club or favorite resort. The pros that I have worked with are all good pros, but so far have not shown their dedication to my game that Dean demonstrated. I will be back to Half Moon to continue to enjoy the undiscovered gem that Half Moon tennis is.
I’ve been to Half moon for the ITF tournament in April in 2016 and 2017. The resort itself is beautiful. the courts are pretty good and the pros are good. The tournament itself is very poorly run. The tournament director is not great. They would do much better without him. It’s too bad because it is a lot of fun at the gorgeous resort. All said, I would possibly do it again knowing what to expect. It’s a fun getaway with the girls!
Absolute luxury hotel, luxury beach and yes luxury tennis. The impeccable red clay, the golf cart escort to The Courts, as well as someone to pick up balls during your lesson is enough to spoil you rotten. Do not mistake however, Uli and Thomas will run you through a true Bollettieri clinic that is sure to impress even a higher level player. I will certainly be back!!!
Extraordinary tennis with well-maintained clay courts and one grass court. GREAT instructors, led by Thomas, take wonderful care of you and are quick to improve all aspects of your game. Would definitely go back. Expensive hotel and not too many courts, though.
We have been vacationing at the RItz-Carlton, Grand Cayman every year for the past 5 years. One of our main reasons is Thomas Neuert and his group at the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Courts. We actually credit Thomas for guiding our son into pursuing tennis seriously. We have seen first hand how Thomas and his staff make tennis enjoyable and fun for everybody, beginner or advanced, young or older, shy or extrovert, while teaching high quality tennis.
At the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman you find the perfect combination of one of the best resorts in the world with one of the best places to learn/practice/play tennis.
Everyone plays tennis at Half Moon! It is the hub of resort activity. There are group drills offered and match arranging, but it seems like everyone takes private or semi-private lessons. Marcus and Clive were our favorite pros, but they all seem good. Ballkids are available if you want them and take a share of the pro’s tip. The resort has hard courts as well as the slippery “fake” clay/dirt.
